Upcoming Events and Important Dates
Mark Your Calendars, Folks!
Alright, parents, guardians, and students! Get ready to scribble these important dates into your planners. We've got a busy few weeks ahead, filled with exciting events and activities. First up, we have the annual school carnival! Get ready for a day filled with fun, games, and delicious food. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to let loose, for families to connect, and for us all to celebrate the vibrant spirit of our school community. We'll have everything from bouncy castles and face painting to thrilling games and prizes. Plus, there will be a variety of food vendors offering treats for every taste. The carnival is not only a fantastic way to spend a day but also a significant fundraiser for the school. All proceeds go directly toward enhancing our programs and resources, benefiting our students in many ways. This year, we're aiming to raise even more funds to support the development of our new library space, which will offer new opportunities for our students. So, spread the word, invite your friends and neighbors, and come join us for a day of unforgettable fun.
Following the carnival, we'll have our Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is your chance to meet with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and collaborate on ways to support their learning journey. We firmly believe that the partnership between home and school is crucial for student success. These conferences are a vital opportunity to build a strong communication channel. The teachers will be prepared to share insights into your child’s academic performance, classroom behavior, and social-emotional development. They'll also be available to answer any questions you have and offer valuable strategies for supporting your child at home. Before the conference, we encourage you to talk with your child about their school experiences, ask them about their favorite subjects, and address any concerns they may have. This will help you to have a productive and informative conversation with the teachers. Sign-up sheets will be available soon, so keep an eye out for those and make sure you reserve your spot. We want every parent to have the opportunity to connect with their child's educators.
Also, a friendly reminder about the school holidays. Make sure you know when the kids are off, so you can plan accordingly. We want to ensure that everyone is prepared and ready for a relaxing and enjoyable break. During the holidays, the school will be closed, and there will be no classes or activities. But, don’t worry, we'll provide plenty of notice about any changes. We recommend you take some time to recharge and reconnect with your family during this period. We hope you will have a fantastic time filled with rest and fun. Stay tuned for more updates, and make sure you regularly check our school website and social media pages for the most up-to-date information. Let's make this a year to remember!
Classroom Highlights and Student Achievements
Shining Stars and Amazing Accomplishments!
This week, we're shining a spotlight on some of the incredible things happening in our classrooms. Our students have been working incredibly hard, and we're so proud of their achievements. In Year 3, the students have been immersed in a fascinating project on the rainforests. They've been researching the diverse ecosystems, the various species of flora and fauna, and the importance of conservation. The students have been working in small groups, each researching a different aspect of the rainforest. They're using a variety of resources, including books, websites, and even virtual field trips, to gather information and create presentations. The project has not only broadened their knowledge of the rainforests but has also developed their research skills and teamwork abilities. The students are enthusiastic and motivated to learn, and they are excited to share their knowledge with others. The teachers have observed a remarkable transformation in the students, who are taking initiative and learning how to work together. They are not only learning about the rainforest but also gaining valuable skills that will benefit them in the future.
Over in Year 5, students have been participating in a school-wide writing competition. The theme this year is
